Milford On Sea Youth Football Club
winning hearts and minds on and off the pitch
Milford on Sea Youth Football Club is a thriving football facility based in the leafy suburb of this small coastal village. The club caters for girls and boys from ages under 6 to under 16 and competes in the Bournemouth Youth Football League and New Forest & District Youth Football League on Sundays throughout the season in mini, 9 a-side and 11-a-side soccer.
The club is a Charter Mark Standard Club recognised by the FA – a standard that proves commitment to football and development within a positive and encouraging environment.
Milford on Sea Youth Football Club has won the Charter Mark County Club Award in 2008/09, 2009/2010 and three times since its formation in 2003. The club provides access to fully qualified FA level 1 and 2 coaches and all coaches are CRB checked and proficient with first aid and child welfare.
This is a friendly family club with ‘football for all’ at it’s foundation. No child is refused the right to train and become a club member, regardless of ability.
Founded in 2003, Milford is starting to reap the benefits of its commitment over the past few years to development for all children. Barnes Lane Recreation Ground
is home to the club and has always been known as a friendly environment for opposing teams to visit, but is also now fast becoming a venue where teams know they will face a competitive match.
Discipline on and off the field is really important to the club and we have a zero-tolerance policy for any display of inappropriate behaviour from players or spectators. This is proven by our disciplinary record over the last few years.
Milford may have a small catchment area, but the club is starting to compete with the larger clubs due to the high quality training provided. The club has always supported the FA’s drive to make football available to the masses and to encourage respect within the game. We have continued to accept children of all abilities as members, understanding that children are all individuals and development happens at different rates; today’s less talented player will be or could be tomorrows future star.
Choosing your child’s football club should be a serious matter. Consideration of Charter Standard and an understanding of the standards required and the club’s culture is vital. To understand more about Charter Standards please go to the official FA website.
Milford presents great value for money with subsidised club fees and will be committed to your child’s development in a positive enthusiastic manner. Youth facilities in a village are essential and Milford is no exception. The Milford on Sea Football Club is run and funded by local volunteers the club is always looking for help, sponsorship and support.
