What a great day for all the kids and families who came to enjoy Football Fun Day. The weather was kind in the end and well done to all the organisers who made it a great day.Posted in Social | Comments Off on Great Football Fun Day!
Well done and thank you to all the coaches, committee members and parents who give their time voluntarily to make this club a fun and safe place for our children to play and enjoy football. And well done to the children and teenagers of the club who play with enthusiasm, fairness and respect for each other and their opponents.
All this has been recognised by being awarded Charter Standard Club of the Year in the Bournemouth League, a huge accolade!
The Charter Standard awards aim to recognise and reward people across the country who make a difference to grassroots football in their local community – the people who dedicate their time to developing tomorrow’s young talent and help ensure safety and best practice in tens of thousands of clubs up and down the country.

A message about showing respect for coaches, match officials and players at Milford on Sea YFC
Football is a passionate game. We can all get caught up in the moment. We want the best for our teams and for our sons and daughters, but it is important that we keep a clear perspective.
Youth football is played for the enjoyment of the game. Coaches give up an enormous amount of time to make sure children have the opportunity to play and make progress. We need to be grateful and let them get on with the job. Referees are volunteers and without them the games would not be played. We must respect their decisions whether we agree with them or not and we must encourage our children to respect those decisions too.
We can be very proud of our club for the manner in which we encourage all children to participate and the way we celebrate the playing of good football by our own teams as well as by the opposition, applauding individual achievement, whatever the colour of the shirt.
We respectfully request that you do not criticise any player, coach or match official, who will strive to officiate in a fair and just manner. Please accept that in the spirit of the game, mistakes will be made.
